(5) For some foods that are high in fat or calories but are available year-round, such as cheese, cakes, cookies, alcoholic drinks, there is no need to indulge them during the holiday season.
(6) Don't stay around the food table or kitchen while socializing with your friends.
(7) Keep your mouth talking more than eating.
3. Remember, stress is one of the big causes of overeating. With all the shopping, cooking, cleaning, fighting the crowd, etc, it is not difficult to unconsciously overeat. Try to stay calm and focused. Don't let the craziness derail your healthy eating plan. Before going shopping, pack some health snacks with you. When all the shopping makes you hungry and tired, the health snacks will tie you over instead of grabbing something that is unhealthy from the food court at the mall.
4. Don't forget to engage in regular physical activities. Moderate level of physical activity not only curtails appetite, but also prevents weight gain. If you don't have time to engage in your routine exercise, even 10 min here and there will be beneficial to your waistline.
