After purchasing the already well-established bakery in 1979, Matushewski realized much of her early success because of her decision to keep the old recipes that made the business a success the first time around. However, with great entrepreneurial spirit, Matushewski expanded her selections to offer some new favorites which she developed on her own including flax bread, flax muffins and fancy grain breads. She specializes in bundt cakes, specialty breads, traditional Ukrainian braided breads and pampushk, which are small rolls served with garlic sauce.
