New Goal-Tracking Site Encourages Fitness and Health Accountability
A leading online fitness, nutrition and training company introduced a goal-setting and tracking program, Goalster, to aid in weight loss and fitness ambitions for active lifestyles.

COLUMBUS, OH, July 31, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- HyperStrike, a leading fitness, nutrition and training company, launched Goalster, www.goalster.com, as a free tool to keep people motivated on their health and fitness goals.

The unique concept allows participants to track their workout on the site; for example, exercise time, number of push-ups performed, glasses of water you drank a day, grams of fat consumed, body measurements, cholesterol and body mass index are all trackable, among several other factors. The site even provides graphs, charts and statistics on personal progress. However, this isn't just a tool for private success; the page is shared with friends or family members. Creating a support system keeps participants accountable and motivated to achieve fitness goals, and allows participants to share their successes with those that are close to them.

"It all started when I realized I wasn't living the life I wanted," Mike Greeves, CEO of HyperStrike and founder of Goalster said. "I found myself spending too much time on the computer and running my business was ruining my health. So I decided to make a commitment to my health and my family. I used the site daily to track my weight and exercise time. To date, I've lost 24 pounds! By sharing my goals with my friends and family, I was motivated to keep my commitments and I got back in shape."

Goalster has three major components: track, share and achieve. By regularly tracking personal health and fitness goals, participants can quantify and monitor exactly what they want to do and how to do it. Sharing these goals with friends and family gives people that extra motivation to pull through; even if they don't feel like taking that evening jog, they know their best friend will call them out on it tomorrow at work. Finally, participants can achieve fitness goals through this accountability site.

Maintaining fitness goals can be a challenge if people are too busy to follow through with their goals. However, online access to an accountability program is ideal for fast-paced lifestyles. Making the decision to set health and fitness goals for oneself, and holding yourself responsible for those actions, is something to be proud of.

Goalster also offers a "Goalster for Business" feature for a low monthly fee, which includes aggregate support and white label abilities. For more information about Goalster, and to sign up for your free account, visit www.goalster.com.
