Y-Weight lunch weight loss and management program
Weight loss and management are among the most searched for services online. Y-Weight, a program designed to give people the help, hope and direction they need to lose weight and keep it off launched a new website and a new teen program on January 15, 2009.
DOVER, MA, January 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New Year's resolutions come and go. Vows to lose weight are made and broken. Our battles to lose weight slowly fizzle until we finally just give in to temptation and surrender. Why? Simply put diets do not work.
At the core of losing weight and keeping it off is the identification of successful strategies for short term and long term success. Y-Weight founder, Mariah Riess, has been helping people for nearly 30 years learn new behaviors and develop the skills they need to lose weight and keep it off.
"We launched our site on the 15th of January, sadly by then most people who made resolutions to lose weight two weeks previously have given up hope and have lost their way," Riess explains. "Most people who are struggling to lose weight or maintain their weight had the best of intentions but lacked the behavioral understanding, coaching support, information or serious commitment needed," Riess states.
Y-Weight is based in the greater Boston area in Dover, MA. Offering weight loss and weight management programs for individuals, families, corporations and a newly announced teen program, Y-Weight is helping people stop waiting and start losing weight. People living outside the area or unable to travel to in-person coaching sessions can take advantage of Y-Weight's telephone-based programs.
"All of our programs have been highly successful and we are really excited about our new teen program open to girls aged 14 - 18. It is a group program that provides girls with a fun, interactive and effective way to learn how to manage their weight," Riess beams. "The program is going to be a fun way to learn important behavioral skills and information to maintain a healthy weight in a supportive, non-threatening environment, Riess explains. "It is created for both teens that need to lose weight now as well as teens who want to prevent future unhealthy weight gain. It gives them the tools needed to live healthier lifestyles," Riess concludes.
The teen program is initially being housed in Dover, MA with plans for the program expanding geographically and to include teen boys. "We are keeping the teen program gender-specific in order to provide a more comfortable atmosphere for teens who are serious about controlling their weight and who need the right environment to start learning how," Riess states.
The Y-Weight programs are designed for people committed to losing weight and learning how to manage their weight long-term. The mutual commitment between those trying to control their weight and the highly experienced coaches in the program has proven to be the key to the success of the Y-Weight programs.
